Brrrrrr.............

Barn Room - For the Love of a House

This weekend calls for time inside snuggled up by the fireplace - maybe with a glass of wine and an assortment of cheese.

I am Canadian and should be able to handle the cold weather - but really, I'm not a cold weather girl. For anyone who is not a geography buff or if you don't follow the weather patterns of North America, there are many points in the mid and eastern United States that make us look balmy in comparison {well, at least here in southern Ontario}.

Minus 17 degrees Celsius with a wind chill that leaves the air feeling like minus 28, it makes me stop and layer, layer, layer.

THE coat of choice here is the Canada Goose Parka.

My {very wise} Daughter said; 'it's not like we are children and we are growing, this is it. So invest in great boots, coat and proper winter gear'. She is so right.

I love my UGGS - these are great for snow and slushy snow {ugh}.

..... and just for good measure, I would wear a sweater {with jeans}.

Add a generous amount of cappuccino and I may just make it through until spring.

  1. The chilly weather definitely calls for a fireplace and a cup of hot cider or a hot toddy:)

  2. I finally bought good winter boots this year too. My husband was a little horrified by the price but I told him I'd have them the rest of my life. I don't say that often!!

I think I'm a snuggle in front of the fire kindda girl, but when I go out into the great outdoors, I look like bear in all my layers. I hope you stay snug as a bug in a rug this month dear friend!
