Cardinal House - Finally HOME

I thought I'd stop unpacking and re-arranging to share some of the details of Cardinal House.

I can't resist - one of my most favourite spots in our new house is the kitchen. We are finally moved in at Cardinal House and it really does feel like HOME.
We have a bevy of boxes yet to be unpacked, all of the washroom's are waiting to have the wall sconces, mirrors and glass shower doors installed. But it is all operational....... and feels so nice to slowly inject our things in to each room.

These images are not great .......... my camera is still yet to be unpacked, but you get the idea.

We love that the kitchen is the hub of the wheel in the house. This will be the gathering place for our family.

The kitchen will feature black hardware on both the white and black cabinets. A mirror is being refinished to match the sideboard and hang on the wall above it. The fireback is waiting to be installed along with the Carrara tile back splash. Our dishwasher arrived damaged but is was replaced and installed today. The kitchen is in functioning order and I couldn't resist hugging the new Kitchenaid gas cook top/oven {seriously, I did}.

Living room.

The antique mantle from Old City Hall in Toronto was refinished in Benjamin Moore Oxford White. The hearth step and fire box surround will be the same Carrara marble used on the kitchen counters. We are still hunting for the coffee table glass among our boxes.

Looking forward to adding accessories and pictures.

A soft painting will be added above the mantle, a small neutral tone area rug to anchor the seating area, the missing glass {!}, accents and drapery at the floor to ceiling windows.

Inside the front entry is not as glossy as this picture looks.
Mosaic tile meets the hardwood.

Better pictures and more details to follow..............
